I belong to African American community, where the first part of my identity was forced to be added before Americans due to immigration that took place in the past times. My ancestors belong to the DRC community and Spain, from where they immigrated to Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas. Shifting to three different places suggests how African people were enslaved by colonial rule and had to live their life in uncertainty. The Blacks were oppressed and treated as enslaved people, which made them convinced that they deserved such a life and that they could not get rid of it.
